Have you ever heard the old saying timing is everything? Well it is, especially when you are creating social media posts, writing copy for advertising and launching new products or services. When you do something can be just as important as how well you do it
A few days ago I shot some video of Gospel Recording artists LaRue Howard singing “Calvary” during our Good Friday church service using my cell phone. I posted it later that same evening without editing it. When I checked this morning it had 2,374 organic views and 53 shares. That one video generated some decent buzz in just three days! One of the reasons that I think it was viewed and shared some much was because of the timing. My newsfeed was full of post about Easter or Resurrection Sunday (which ever you prefer). The video was good and it had a great headline so I think I could have posted it any time and it would have generated a decent number of views and shares. But because it was Easter Weekend I think more people were inclined to stop and watch it.
So pay attention to when you do what you do. If you can tailor your activities and content to things that are already on your target market’s mind, they may be more inclined to stop and take a closer look. Remember timing is everything.
